Ben’s books about London history include 'Do Not Alight Here', 'London’s Lost Power Stations and Gasworks', and 'Working the London Underground'. He has also had writing published in magazines around the world, and on websites devoted to music, gaming and London life. His knowledge of the history of the London Underground has led to appearances on TV programmes for the BBC and Channel 5, and he has also given talks at venues such as the prestigious Guildhall Library in the City of London. 

 

He writes fiction whenever he can, and in 2016 had a short story broadcast on BBC Radio 4. In addition to writing about London, you’ll also find Ben blogging about his other great, yet completely unrelated passion, hip-hop music. 

 

He lives in South London with his wife Louise, and their two lovely daughters.
